Drawing question...

Drawing question...

Drawing question...

(OP)
I've dug around trying to figure out how to do this to no avail...
We often use multi-sheet drawings for our weldments, with each sheet being for a child part of the main assembly. What I want is to be able to link the revision block of each page to the parent part's revision without having to actually place, then hide, the parent part on the sheet. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

RE: Drawing question...

Go to Tools > Options > Document Properties > Detailing > Tables and select the style of revision you want.
Options are "See sheet 1", "Linked" or "Independent".

That won't work, CBL. We don't use revision tables, per se. At the bottom of our drawing sheets is a space for the rev and another for a brief change description. When a part/assembly gets revised, the previous drawing (as a PDF) is archived.

RE: Drawing question...

Can you not populate each parts custom property with the same rev level and then read that property to the drawing sheets rev area?

I could, but I'm trying to save time. I think I've figured out a work around, assuming I can create my own revision table.
