Ammonia in butane

Ammonia in butane

Ammonia in butane

(OP)
Hello,

We are seeing high amounts of NH3 in our butane R/D. Our specification is 0.5 vol. ppm, but we have 1.0 vol. ppm. We have tried to add fresh caustic, but with no luck. Our lean MEA looks fine. Anyone here any experince with NH3 in their butane?

RE: Ammonia in butane

There is one article in the net titled: Influence of ammonia on gas sweetening units using amine solutions published by Bryan Research and Engineering, Inc., which can be reached via Google, and may be of interest.

Thanks! I'll take a look at that article.
