Pro/E sketcher problems

Pro/E sketcher problems

(OP)
Hi,

Can anyone tell me if they have problems with Pro/E 2000i2 using an ELSA Synergy 3 graphics card?

I'm having several problems with sketcher mode when picking a drawing tool and trying to sketch. Pointer trails are left all over the screen and do not dissapear until refresh is hit.

Please help!
Thanks
Wookie

RE: Pro/E sketcher problems

Hi wookie,

Not much to say here. ELSA SYNERGY III does not have dedicated drivers for PRO/E. Only for 3D Studio and AutoCAD. Try to download the last drivers from their site.

RE: Pro/E sketcher problems

try these
1) Make sure your card is set to use OpenGL.
2)  set the config.pro option GRAPHICS to OPENGL
exit and restart Pro.
3) if that doesnt work change the config.pro option GRAPHICS to WIN32GDI exit and restart pro.
This will almost certainly work unfortunately it is software acceleration and your video will slow down.
4)Get an nVidia card. I've used almost all of them at one time or another and have had no problems.

RE: Pro/E sketcher problems

I think this has appeared before - if your running windows 2000 the answer is to turn off the mouse pointer shadow. (start button - settings - control panel - mouse).

Regards and good luck.
