DIN standard for valve testing

(OP)
Good day sir/madam
I,m presently working as a Mechanical Technician
and one of my Job is Valve testing the standard we use here is of german standard or DIN i want to know if leakage rate 1
is consider to be 1 bubbles /sec or per min thank for the reply in advance

RE: DIN standard for valve testing

Darkangel1974,
are you required to test according to DIN 3230-3 standard?
First of all, it must be mentioned that it is superseded by EN 12266-1 standard (2003).

However, according to DIN, you should specify which test method you are applying ("BE", "BN", "BO" or so...?)... in any case, Leakage rate 1 means "tight" and allows no visible leakage up to a certain DN; some bubbles or drops per minute are allowed for larger valves only.

Hope this helps,         'NGL

Sir Anegri,
thank you for your help sir , acc. to the certificate issued by the  manufacturer it is 3230 B0, the valves that i test ranges from DN 15 up to DN 50 the medium the we use for testing is nitrogen. It is very hard for me to cope with standard of this thing because the contractor did not give us this document as part of the turn-over years ago we only have AD4, 3230 part 5 & 6, im hoping that you will enlighten me a bit more about this DIN standard 3230 BO if you have the time, i will be waiting for a reply. Thank you sir & god bless...
