zero / span circuit

zero / span circuit

zero / span circuit

(OP)
Hello,

I am wondering if anyone knows of a simple circuit to allow someone to adjust a zero and span output based on an input signal.
Lets say for argument's sake you have a variable resistor that when it is at 100 ohms, you want 1 volt output and when the resistor is at 2500 ohms, you want 5 volt output.
And what if that potentiometer is replaced with a 3000 - 10000 ohm resistor...could the same circuit be used to produce a 1 - 5 volt output again?

Thanks for your help,
Adam

RE: zero / span circuit

Answer: Of course!

You use op-amps and resistors.
Or a microcontroller and software.
Or you buy a panel mounted PID controller and just enter the required numbers.

Thanks for getting back to me itsmoked.
I was hoping that you might be able to point me in the right direction to find the actual circuit diagram using op-amps and resistors.
I would rather make one than buy a pre-made controller.

Thanks,
Adam
