SolidWorks Install

(OP)
I have been told that to make SolidWorks utilize multiple processors there is a certain way to install and setup SolidWorks.  Does anyone know if this true??

RE: SolidWorks Install

Nothing I've seen before.  I have a dual-core AMD chip and the second core gets used in some operations (but general modeling doesn't make much use of it).  Rendering in PhotoWorks uses both to the hilt.

Where did you get that info?  Perhaps it's a soon-to-be released enhancement/update?

RE: SolidWorks Install

I've neither read nor heard of that. I doubt that it is true.

I have no doubt that some future version (with a normal/default install) will be able to though.

But then again I have no doubt that some future version will be available for the Mactel machines ... but that's a topic for another argument thread. lol
