Are the acceptable for use in ASME Code applications?

RE: AWWA Flanges

No.  See UG-44 of ASME VIII-1 for acceptable flange standards

RE: AWWA Flanges

loc23,

To clarify my previous reply, the "NO" is for the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code. When I read your post about "ASME Code", I immediately thought of the vessel code because that is where most of my work is focused on. Of course there are other ASME codes like the ASME Code for Pressure Piping. Depending on the application, AWWA flanges are allowed on pressure piping.

RE: AWWA Flanges

You were correct in your assumption. This is an ASME Code stamped vessel. So I am talking about the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code. We are contacting the vendor to find out why they stamped the flange B16.47 when it does not conform to that specification.
