Transient Ground Fault relay type-7SN60

Transient Ground Fault relay type-7SN60

(OP)
Hi All,
Can you pl.  give me an idea to test SIEMENS MAKE 7SN60-Transient ground fault relay by using numerical instrument?

Relay is detecting ground fault based on freq. signals (100 Hz to 1kHz or more). So, my perticular question is;

Transient ground fault is a pure high freq. signal without fundamental component for 1-cycle or it's a high freq. signal mixed with fundamental component? According to this, i need to create waveforms.

Normally relay is using for transmission line protection.

RE: Transient Ground Fault relay type-7SN60

Waveforms will work. Remember to create test data for a healthy feeder, too. It may be as important not to trip a helthy feeder, than to trip the faulty feeder. The Io transient has opposite polarity in the healthy feeder than in the faulty feeder, but in a compensated network and with an intermittent fault, the remaining near fundamental frequency current have the same phase angle in the healthy and the faulty feeder.
