I just stumbled by on the new FREE excel site http://www.excelcalcs.com/  It has an addin that displays excel formulas symbolically for easy checking and for presentation. Also there's a bunch of small spreadsheets for a few areas of engineering. Displaying formulas is a real kick!

Maths expressions from formulas much better than using the MS equation editor - nice one!

Looks like it could be useful.

I already make very heavy use of getformula that someone had posted on eng-tips spreadsheet forum:

Function GetFormula(Cell)
   GetFormula = Cell.Formula
End Function

Just paste it into a vba module in your spreadsheet and you are good to go.  Add-ins can carry a little more baggage and are not portable.

Displaying the formulas is very good but the 'free' download only last for 60 days it seems. Most annoying, especially when ther's no mention of that on the site.

Download it again! 60 days period insures that you are using current version.

Hi Corus,
There is a mention of this on the site, obscure as it may be at http://www.excelcalcs.com/content/view/27/89/ and several issues are addressed in the forum.  I would suggest enjoying it while it lasts (free).
