Wood frame construction- 120 wind speed

Wood frame construction- 120 wind speed

Wood frame construction- 120 wind speed

(OP)
I would like to design a house that has a 14' plate height and that has portions of the roof with 16 on 12 slopes. I am trying to use the WFCM to design but I don't see any allowances for these criterias. If I cannot use the wood frame manuel what other code could I use to be able to use 14' plates and 16 on 12 slopes.

Any help would be gladly appreciated.

thanks,

benarch

RE: Wood frame construction- 120 wind speed

You might have to do some actual structural engineering!

If you cant find tables then you will have to do it from scratch using ASCE7 for the wind loads and the timber code for the members. It is not actually that hard once you know how to do it.
