S number...?

S number...?

S number...?

(OP)
Hii everyone...my question is related with S numbers...
is there any difference between S number and P number...?can we use WPS with a PQR supporting P1 to P1 to weld S1 base materials...? Thanks

RE: S number...?

Per ASME IX, qualification on P1 to P1 qualifies P1 to S1 and S1 to S1. Qualification on S1 to S1 does not qualify P1 to P1 or P1 to S1.
