Hello everyone

I am looking for the media or any materials tutorial for RF power amplifier design. If anyone has that kind of material please share with us or sends to hoang.leviet@gmail.com.
Thank you all very much

RE: RF power amplifier design tutorial

Hi interuser.
"R.F. power amplifier design" covers a vast field depending on many things, but power output requirements and operating frequency, are the first two that come to mind.

There is no single text that will cover all situations, so you need to have some idea of what you want. You will then know what question to ask, or description to search for, when you try Googling.

Thank you macgyvers2000 for your concern. I must specify that I need something detail about how to simualate in a power amplifier in simulation tool as ADS or Cadence (step by step). The method of design, sth relates to load-pull simulation ...

I posted the second message without knowing BrianG's post. My concerns in the power amplifier are output power and matching. I read some docs of Agilent about load-pull simulation but not really understand. Anyones have material about designing the power amplifier based on the load-pull simulation, pls help. Thank you very much

RE: RF power amplifier design tutorial

Hi,

just my opinion, but i think you only get a feel for how to design RF power amplifiers by actually building them and seeing how they work (or don't work). -then perhaps go back and remind yourself of the theory. If you're working at low frequency, you can do it cheaply with a cheap scope to view voltages etc -if you're working in microwave, you'll need a $40000 Vector Network Analyser or at least an SNA and enough funds to afford the microwave RF components etc.
