Detroit Diesel pulley specs/replacement

Detroit Diesel pulley specs/replacement

Detroit Diesel pulley specs/replacement

(OP)
I have a Detroit Diesel 6-71N engine with a 2-groove 5" "auxilliary" pulley. The DD part number is 5133615. The bore on this measures to be 0.985 inches and possibly tapered. A 1" shaft will not penetrate the bore (which is clean, etc.) The keyway is 3/16".

Does anyone know if this is in fact a nominal 25MM bore rather than 1"?

I need to replace this with a 7" pulley. Does anyone know the DD part number for that?

I tried a 2AK74x1, but its pretty loose on the shaft and has a 1/4" keyway.

Any other thoughts and/or suggestions?

Bob

RE: Detroit Diesel pulley specs/replacement

Get a 2AK74H pulley with the quick disconnect bushing. Get a H x 25MM bushing, or a reborable H bushing to match the shaft at the machine shop.
