(OP)
We are considering a couple of 10" ANSI 600 pigging valves like Pigs Unlimited’s PU-2 or Aceco Valves' PV-2 for a brine line.

I have read discussions on Eng-Tips in regards to the valves Argus makes, but they only go up to 8-inches in size. In thread 687-117709, something was mentioned about the 8-inch Argus valves costing more than fabricating a traditional pig launcher/receiver and the closure being so heavy that the davits never work right.

Do any of you have experience with either the PU-2 or PV-2 valves in 10-inches or larger? If so, what was the application and would you recommend using something like this for a brine water or gas line?

Thanks in advance
