The colors of patterned threaded-hole
The colors of patterned threaded-hole
(OP)
I have a patterned threaded hole created in Wildfire 2. If you move the mouse over these threaded holes they show up all in purple color. Another model of the same part that was created using a different method, show the main hole to be purple and the rest of the pattern to be yellow. Does anyone know the significance of the color difference. Using a third party quality check software (CADIQ), it pointed that the holes that were in yellow had geometric defect (solid present in void). In Wildfire, they all look the same. Anyone can help?

RE: The colors of patterned threaded-hole
Pro/E by default shows surfaces edges in yellow for one sided edges and in purple for two sided edges. If you create a simple cylinder and copy only the cylindrical faces you'll see circular yellow edges on each end whereas if you copy all the solid surfaces including the circular faces the surface copy will appear purple.
