Steel Stair Landing Question

Steel Stair Landing Question

Steel Stair Landing Question

(OP)
This is a survey.  For steel stairs surrounded by metal stud construction (in other words there is no masonry wall to support the header channels), at the intermediate landing between floors, do you support the header channel by posting down to the floor below or by hanging from the beam above?

RE: Steel Stair Landing Question

posting down.

RE: Steel Stair Landing Question

Whatever is cheaper and easier.

RE: Steel Stair Landing Question

Hang. Hangers are in tension so can use very small angles. Even seen rods used, though I do not like this idea personally.
