help with weight

(OP)
hi, i´m doing an assembbly and i want to know how to include the weight of the fasteners used, in other words assign material to fasteners.
Thanks.

RE: help with weight

What version of SW you using?

The fixings in SW2007 SP2.1 come in as plain carbon steel and can be changed if you right click on the fixing in the tree and then go to open part.

Hope that helps.

RE: help with weight

compresor,
If SW doesn't list the desire material your seeking through its defaults, you can enter the material density in the "Mass Properties" "Options" area. Select "Use custom settings" and key your desired density in the "Material Properties" field then hit ok.
