Im considering buying a 62 F600 flatbed truck.Owner says it has "air assisted" breaks that need repair but they are not conventional air breaks as most peopleknow them.any info?

Does he mean vacuum-assist power brakes?

It undoubtedly has a Bendix Hydrovac, which is a vacuum diaphram booster and a long cast iron master cylinder. There may also be an engine driven vane type vacuum pump.
