Transient Heat Transfer from a Storage Tank

Transient Heat Transfer from a Storage Tank

Transient Heat Transfer from a Storage Tank

(OP)
Hi,

I am wondering if I can perform a transient state heat transfer analysis with Pro/Mechanica, for a storage tank filled with oil? The initial temperature of the fluid is -22C and the final temperature is 5C. The wind velocity outside the tank is 14m/s(forced convection). The heating of the oil is done outside the tank.

I am interested to find out how much is the rate heat loss from the tank and the time that is required to get 5 C inside the tank.

Thanks.
