(OP)
We model our components with our companies part #.

Sldprt file name: 12345.sldprt
Slddrw file name: 12345.slddrw

Our customer part number is job specific 3871-02
We take our Slddrw and save as 3871-02 while 3871-02 is still looking at 12345.sldprt.  How can we create a title block attribute to read the model name 12345.sldprt.
(We never create a model 3871-02.sldprt.)

RE: Link model name to drawing attribute

Annotation in your title block with the following: $PRPSHEET:"SW-File Name"

I think I understand what you're asking...

RE: Link model name to drawing attribute

Create a Custom or Configuration Specific property (say "customer number") in the model, and then link the annotation in the title block to read that property.

cheers
