ADDING CUSTOM FILL PATTERNS IN V5R14

ADDING CUSTOM FILL PATTERNS IN V5R14

ADDING CUSTOM FILL PATTERNS IN V5R14

(OP)
Hi All
I want to add some custom motifs/images to the V5 default fill patterns library.
I assume I need to start up in admin mode?
(The 'browse' button is grayed out in the edit pattern dialog box)
The problem is when I attempt to start in admin mode I get a message saying my CATReferenceSettingsPath is not set.
My CATReferenceSettingsPath is currently pointing to C:\Program Files\Dassault Systemes\B14\intel_a\code\bin
Is this correct? If not, where should it point?
Thankyou in anticipation.
Dave

RE: ADDING CUSTOM FILL PATTERNS IN V5R14

Hi,

I would not save my CATReferenceSettings in that directory but it should work if this folder is good for write access.

You can create a folders like  V5Adm / R14 / CATRefSettings; may be another one V5Adm / R14 / ENV where you save your ENVIRONMENT file and CATIA shortcuts, another one like V5Adm / R14 / Standard for standard files....

Hi Eric
Thanks for your reply.
I have managed to start in Admin mode, however the 'browse' button is still grayed out.
Is there something else I need to be doing?
Dave

Where are you looking?  Patterns are maintained in the Drafting Standards file, so you need to go to TOOLS, STANDARDS to define them.
