Type IV Creep Cracking - Images

Does anyone have actual metallographic images of this type of cracking.  I've got a failure analysis I am working on that is not creep related, but someone got it in their head that it is Type IV creep cracking and I would like an image to show how what we have is completely different from what is Type IV.

RE: Type IV Creep Cracking - Images

SMF1964;
Your best bet is to search for technical papers that describe Type IV creep damage. You might want to try the web site below for starters;

http://www.ommi.co.uk/

I will search my library and see if I can direct you to several papers on this subject.

RE: Type IV Creep Cracking - Images

I have lots of information from EPRI, especially related to Program 87. If you are not a member, I can't help you.

Some papers of interest in the public domain;

Prediction of P91 life under Plant Operating Conditions
by J. Bear and A Fleming

Performance of P91 Thick Section Welds under Steady and Cyclic Load Conditions; Power Plant and Operating Experience by IA Shibli

Metengr - we are members of EPRI Program 87.  I've actually found some references that will help on their website.  Thanks for you assistance.
