V6 Motor Model?

V6 Motor Model?

V6 Motor Model?

(OP)
First off I searched 3d content central and all listed websites in faq.

Hi we are putting an package together for a customer and using a standard 4.3L Chevy V-6 for the motor. We have all of our custom parts currently in Solidworks but would like to use a solid model of the engine to show our customer how it will look.

It doesn't need to be exact with the size or dimensions but just a general gas motor V-6 if possible. I know that this would take a lot of time to construct so most people would not want to give this away for free but is there anyone who knows of a place to download from?

RE: V6 Motor Model?

If it doesn't have to be exact, it may be quicker to take some quick measurements of an engine and model it. I do not have one.

You might find it much easier to find some old 2D data floating around, and then copying the data from a 2D view into a sketch--from there, extrude (or however much detail you want) the main bulk and add detail from that point (would save measuring time).

it should comeup with the spec.orgwebsite

from there

benchmarks/graphics applications

then pro e

download the benchmark and extract the model

not sure if you are allowed to post direct links

not sure if its out side the fair use of the benchmark either

RE: V6 Motor Model?

If you could do that it would be fantastic. I tried going to the site and downloading but my company has blocked the download page. Otherwise I'll try to get it from home.
