Can't start a new simulation. WB 11.0

(OP)
Hi,

I just installed Ansys WB 11.0.

I can't start a new simulation.  The "New simulation" option in the "CAD geometry tasks" list is gray.    Although, I can start an existing project containing simulations and access those already existing simulation tabs just fine.  What could be causing this problem?

RE: Can't start a new simulation. WB 11.0

Sounds like you're opening it up in read-only mode when you open an existing project.

Double check your license is up to date.  All of ANSYS's licenses have a date stamp on them.  They allow you to run all ANSYS builds that are dated up to the date stamp.  For example, if you have a license that has a date stamp of 1/1/07, you wouldn't be able to run v11 (v11 build date is 1/26/07), but you could run v10 (v10 build date is 1/11/06).

Contact your local ANSYS support provider to have them generate a new license (assuming your TECS is up to date).

Hope this helps,
Doug
