Configurations in Sub-Assemblies

Configurations in Sub-Assemblies

(OP)
Ok folks, here's a good one. In SW2006 we had configurations set up for different lengths of pipe of the same diameter. When we would finish the system we were working on we would grab all these different lengths of pipe and put them into a flexible sub assembly with the main system. When we converted to SW '07 (current SP 2.2) and tried to do the same thing it appears that SW would "forget" which configuration was selected for different pieces of pipe. Anybody had this issue beofre or have a reason why it is happening?

RE: Configurations in Sub-Assemblies

Use a design table to control config-specific components and component configs.  Using a DT usually stabilizes this sort of behavior.
