RE: Class 10000 clean room specifications?

Richard,

I'm not a machinery guy, but have designed several class 10000 rooms, and installed equipment and processes in them. I have never heard of specs for any of it. There are materials or "means" that one would prefer to use or prefer to avoid. Class 10 000 is not very "clean" for many operations. I have had parking lots come in at about that level. That in mind, it depends on what you are doing in the area. I have had really "dirty" operations (such as punching or slitting of polyester) in class 1000 areas, and we "just" used properly designed ventilation to keep the bulk of the room at 1000, recognizing that the small area around the knives might exceed 100 000!
