deleting layout from part tree

deleting layout from part tree

deleting layout from part tree

(OP)
hi,

how can you delete the layout-->sheet 1 from the part tree.
the delete option is available but it tells to reconsider the operation since it cannot be deleted.  I don't even know how i added the layout sheet in the first place.

Does anyone know how to remove it from the tree?

thanks

RE: deleting layout from part tree

Sheet 1 is the default sheet when you open the drafting side of catia. The only way to remove sheet one is to add another sheet and then you should be able to remove it. I do not know why you would do this thou?

RE: deleting layout from part tree

jec3300 - Sheet1 is not the default when you import dxf, dwg, or .model files.  While I'm not saying that this is the case here, it's something to consider as a possible reason why someone might want to remove it.

alkemixt - can you please provide more details?  How many sheets do you have, and how were they created/imported?

you assumed right, this is the case of importing .dxf file, after importing .dxf, this blank layout sheet was created and i can't delete it.
i only have 1 sheet.

so i can remove it?

thanks...
