(OP)
First post only just starting this type of work with my company.  Is there any software available cheap or F.O.C that will allow me to import coordinates and levels to give me cubes dug or backfilled on relatively small sites, if I can get an accuracy of within 5% will be acceptible.
Also is there a spell check on this forum.

RE: Earthworks volumes

Paul121,
www.softwarebydzign.com has some software for the hp 50g calculator, www.hpcalc.org has a lot of freeware and shareware for the hp 48 series calculators.

Doing the calcs by hand or with a cumbersome program is very time consuming. Good software will pay for itself in a hurry.
Best Regards,

-Michael

Re spellcheck: You can use the one on the Google toolbar (dropdown menu) if loaded into your browser.
