waterproof polymeric fabrics for raincoats

(OP)
Hi,
Anyone knows a material with which and how I can manufacture a waterproof polymeric fabric for lightweight foldable raincoats. My first time, so excuse me if I haven't done this right.
Thanks.

RE: waterproof polymeric fabrics for raincoats

How many raincoats can you sell in a day?
How many square yards of fabric do you need per thousand raincoats?
How many times do you plan to fold them?
How many years do you expect one to last?
Do you want breathable fabric, or nonporous fabric?
Do you have access to a cheap stream of polymer, film, or fabric?
Do you know anything about making film, fabric, or garments?
How much money can you spend before any comes in?

There's probably something intermediate between polyurethane coated nylon (heavy and expensive, but tough enough for inflatable powerboats), and cheesecloth between two plies of polyethylene film (possibly cheap, and basically disposable) that meets your needs, but you have to figure out what your needs are, hence the questions above.  We don't need to know the answers, but you do.

Mike

A large garbage or 50 gallon drum liner with 3 holes punched in the appropriate spot makes a real cheap plastic raincoat.

In addition to the good advice from Mike.

Do you mean plastic fibres woven into a raincoat, natural fibres woven then plastic coated or plastic film.
