Assm. Part Transparency using DT?

Assm. Part Transparency using DT?

Assm. Part Transparency using DT?

(OP)
I've searched around for this, but I'm not sure if it's possible. I know you can control a part's color using a design table, but if I have a DT in an assembly, can I alter a part's transparency?

For instance, in a four-part assembly, one configuration would highlight part 1 while forcing transparency on parts 2-4; config 2 would highlight part 2 while 1, 3, and 4 were transparent, etc.

Thanks.

RE: Assm. Part Transparency using DT?

Set up two configs the way you want them, then auto-create a design table to see what the parameter is that you need to cange for the rest of the configs.

RE: Assm. Part Transparency using DT?

Last time I seen this questioned asked it was not possible. As far as I know its still the same way, however I could be wrong.

Thanks for the replies. Handleman, that's what I had tried prior to posting, with no luck. After seeing Scott's post it looks like I may end up doing it manually in each config. Time for an enhancement request!

RE: Assm. Part Transparency using DT?

Investigate Display States in a DT. You may be able to use/manipulate those in a DT.

cheers
