re-order features in history tree

Hi

I've been trying to re-order features in the history tree... although the i-deas book says it can be done it does not say how... like most actions.

anybody know how or a psuedo way...

regards

RE: re-order features in history tree

You have to use the menus to get to the Reorder Feature operation as it is not avaialable in the icons.

Select the feature you wish to "move" and with the menus on (Ctrl+M) select Modify, Special Techniques, Reorder Feature.

Alternatively you can type the mnemonic:-

/mo spe reo

In the prompt window.

You do of course have to be in the Master Modeler or Product Modeler work bench.

Thanks RCD very simple now why was that not in the book...

wonder if you could help on another command, has i-deas the ability to mirror 2d curves around to points so we dont have to draw to sides of a peice which is symmetrical, I have been setting up mirror of 2d geometry around a plane using reflect and three points to create the plane but not the simple mirror - pick curves - pick first point- pick second point... like in a'cad?

regards

Ok I have looked some more and found the answer, the mirror/reflect is achieved by choosing -reflect - right click - "point normal"

RE: re-order features in history tree

The drawback of relfecting 2D is that the constraints are not reflected as well so the result is non-constrained.

Would it not be easier to Sketch half, Extrude/Sweep/Loft/etc. half and then reflect in 3D so that everything is constrained?
