Can I use Unfold function if part is not created in SMD?

Thanks

RE: Unfold

You might have to run wall recognition first...

RE: Unfold

Even with wall recognition you are only going to be able to unfold ruled bends and not formed ones (double curvature)

Thanks,

I am not after unfolding formed parts, just simple SM
folded parts with few walls on few angles. Reason I want
to unfold is just to create max overlap on some spots.

RE: Unfold

SMD should do you then, but you are going to have to recognise the part first.

I did extract only surfaces on 2 angles and asked for that
bit to unfold.
I did manage to unfold only without recognise.
Just wondering what is the resaon my part can not bee
recognised?
Thanks
Aida

RE: Unfold

your part  can not be recognized if the wall tickness is different than other walls, first examine all the pad features, make sure that they have the same dimension.
