Figuring pulley ratios VS. rpm speed??

Figuring pulley ratios VS. rpm speed??

Figuring pulley ratios VS. rpm speed??

(OP)
I am building a 4'w X 6'h " tumbler, which will be turning at 18 RPM's. If I am using an electric motor that spins at 1,800 rpm's what would be the best set-up to turn the drum down to a spinning speed of 18 RPM's?

I have thought of using multiple pulleys but have no idea on how to figure out what the ratio would be and how many pulleys would be need. I also thought of running the belt around the entire 6' diameter drum. I would like some input on what the best way to do this would be (efficiently and financially).

Thank you,

Jim Roberts
