In need of weldment advice

In need of weldment advice

In need of weldment advice

(OP)
We recently purchased SolidWorks 2007 & PDMWorks Enterprise and are trying to implement them. Our normal work flow is…plasma cut part, machined part, welded parts, machined weldments (occasionally additional parts welded to machined weldments), assembly. I am having trouble figuring out the correct process of doing this. It seems to that you loose a certain amount of functionality either way you go with weldments. Any advice would greatly appreciated.

RE: In need of weldment advice

Can you be more specific about the problems you are having? I don't have PDM of any kind so am not knowing what the troubles might be.

cheers

RE: In need of weldment advice

Take PDM out of the equation for a moment and concentrate on weldment process first.
