I am hopeful that someone can help me out.  We have an application asking for TI compatiable thermistors, 7BA is the TI part number class.  I am having difficulty locating a funcutional duplicate.

TI has ceased production of these sensors, and thus far I am having no luck finding an alternate.

Has anyone run across this issue yet, and if so could a reccomendation be made for a vendor or two to get in touch with?

RE: PTC Thermistors

Hello EEBubba,

The TI´s 7BA Series is normally used on motors manufactured by US Electrical motors. Contact to one U.S.E.M Dealer or an Authorized service center.

This link could help too:

RE: PTC Thermistors

You can browse the site of RTI Electronics. They still make PTC type Thermistors. I don't know if it would be a functional replacement for TI BA type thermistor although if the ratings the same it will classify as functional replacement since both have the same functions.

You can select and research for their product that suits you.

There is also Thermik, and Jenkins electric.

Thank you folks, it is looking more and more likley that the TI style of thermistor has fallen out of use.

Every vendor that I have looked at appears to offer a DIN/IEC/"Seimens" style of PTC thermistor, if any at all.
