Modelling of cracks in MSC.Nastran

(OP)
Hi there,

I'm trying to compute SIF for cracked parts (2D and 3D) in MSC.Nastran using CRAC2D and CRAC3D elements. Do you know the real meaning of the output that is obtained for these elements?. The info in the Encyclopedia seems not to be correct, at least for the CRAC2D element.

Any info regarding the use of these elements is really appreciated.

TIA
