Generic Symbol Creation Problems

Generic Symbol Creation Problems

Generic Symbol Creation Problems

(OP)
Hi,

I'm trying to create a custom surface weld symbol with a weld-all-around circle on it. I simply tried to redefine the generic surface weld symbol from system symbols, however, when I viewed the symbol groups (Leader_Side, Weld_size, etc.), the groups somehow became screwed up so the subgroups jumped up to the top level of the symbol tree instead of staying as a subgroup. I didn't change or add anything to the symbol. I also tried this again creating a symbol from scratch and I have no luck getting more than one subgroup to stay. Is this a bug in Pro/E? Any suggestions or advice? I'm using WILDFIRE 2. Thanks for your help.

Tyler
