PEX in Heating Application
PEX in Heating Application
(OP)
Hi,
Has anyone used PEX tubing for distribution of 200 degree heating water to baseboards, not just radiant floor heat.
Is PEX rated for this application and are there any code limitation to it's usage?
Thank you.

Temp & Pressure Ratings: 200°F at 80 psi, 180°F at 100 psi, and 73.4°F at 160 psi.
Most hot water heating boilers have a high limit set at 180 or so, because you are trying to make hot water not steam.
