RE: Cam Track on A Cone

Need more inforamtion;

Does it "climb" up/along the cone and if so, what is the pitch of the spiral?

Is it parallel to then ends and if so, is the cutter (or cam follower) perpendicular to the taper or the main axis?

cheers

RE: Cam Track on A Cone

(OP)
the ends (enterance and exit) are parallel to the axis, approx 3/4 radius to a 2 inch pitch spiral, the cutter is perpendicular to the taper, the cutter is 1/2 inch dia x 1/2 inch deep
