how do you add files created natively to team centre

i know how to add single files but is it possible to add a top level and have all the parts in an assembly follow

RE: adding files to teamcentre

From NX do a clone import, or UG Manager import assembly. Depending on the version of NX will determine the location or name of the command. Either way it is clone functionality. Select top assembly set your options to find your master model drawings, etc, naming conventions then dry run. If the output looks good. Run it.

RE: adding files to teamcentre

How NX find non-master files?
I have problem with Drawings made in non master model.
When I import project to TcEng and select that my dwg is non master, NX Manager ask me to select master model but this file is not exist in batabase.
How I should import in this case or How to mark non master files?

RE: adding files to teamcentre

You mean you have drawings in Master model mode correct? You have a file that only has the solid then you have a drawing file that has one component that is the solid model or a top level assembly file.

There is an option to find non master files in the clone operation. I don't have a NX Teamcenter environment in front of me at the second to tell you the exact option. If you are still having issues I'll track down the option in NX.

RE: adding files to teamcentre

Yes it is correct.
Top level file consist only drawing, main assembly is a component in DWG file. I tried to import thru NX manager in many configuration.
I chosed associated directory and select main assy
I chosed associated directory and select Dwg file
I tried to import DWG singly

I still can't import project properly.

Thanks for help
