Mild Steel (low carbon steel)

Mild Steel (low carbon steel)

(OP)
What parts of a boiler and engine are made of mild steel? I'm sure the generating and water wall tubes are made of mild steel, but what else in the boiler is made of mild steel? I know alot of parts in some slow and medium/fast speed engines are made of steel (bed plate, 'A' frames, steel backed sleeve bearings, piston crown, crankshaft, cylinder head, etc, being cast, fabricated or forged), but which are made of mild steel (steel having low carbon content), if any. The ubove listed can be made of other materials, of course, but I'm conserned with mild steel.

Thanks for all the support.
