Air receiver hydro test pressure
Air receiver hydro test pressure
(OP)
I've been told by a tank manufacturer that per code ASME stamped air receivers are to be tested at 1.3 times the maximum allowable working pressure. Is this correct or does the number vary depending upon size and pressure?
I'm looking at steel air receivers in the 600-1200 gallon range with working pressure of 200-260 psig.
