Floworks boundary for gunshot?

Floworks boundary for gunshot?

Floworks boundary for gunshot?

(OP)
I want to model the flow of a rifle discharging.

I have some internal ballistics software which tells me that the particular rifle would output 9,000psi. I also know that the powder burns for 0.2 seconds. And I know that powder burns at 3300 degrees F.

I want to see what happens when I fire the 'rifle' with a muzzle brake and see what happens to the flow.

How do I set up the boundary to emit this gas? What 'gas' do I use? Carbon dioxide? How to I make the gas be a burst rather than continuous flow?

How does static pressure differ from environmental pressure?
