Labels!!!

Labels!!!

Labels!!!

(OP)
Okay, I've searched for labels on solids and in drawings. I do not believe I've found an answer.

Okay, like everyone else I would like to take a jpeg symbol (UL, CSA, NSF etc...) and insert it into a sketch via "Insert Sketch Picture". This is great. The graphic appears on the 3D solid's face. Rotate it and it moves with the solid.

Okay, now I want to make a drawing of this solid showing the inserted picture. No go. The graphic will not show up on the drawing. I've tried making sure "Show" is activated. Nothing seems to work.

Okay here's what I don't want to do:
- Paste each individual graphic onto the drawing in the vicinity of the solid part. REASON: graphics don't move with view. can't show part in iso with graphics. ugly solution.
- insert a "Decal" using Photoworks. REASON: you have to have photoworks on all the time - not everyone wants this. you have to have each view in shaded mode - we always use hidden line or hidden lines removed.

I've read that people have gotten Jpegs to show up in drawing mode. What am I missing here?

I was told by my VAR to submit a ER to SW. I just can't believe that this just doesn't WORK! This seems to have been an issue for ever!

Thanks

RE: Labels!!!

Sorry if this is obvious, or does not work. Have you tried setting your view to "shaded".

Colin
