Are there any charts or tables that show comparative values for Izod and Charpy results?

I know you cannot translate the results but, because they are dependant upon the material there should be some relationship and somebody must (surely) have considered analysing this.

You will find some long-winded translation formulae in a book "Fracture & Fatigue Control in Structures" by John Barsom and Stan Rolfe, published by Prentice-Hall Inc, but as you say, such calculations really yield little more than approximations one would not want to rely on too heavily.
