Boilers - General information wanted

What might a 15000 lb/hr 15psi oil/gas burner boiler cost? new,used
What might a 15000 lb/hr 150psi oil/gas burner boiler cost? new used
What would super heat tubes add to the cost. I am novice, so general answers would be fine.

Boilers are rated and sold using an old/strange rating called "boiler horsepower"
A 15,000 lb/hr boiler is about 450-500 "boiler horsepower" and the general cost for firetube boilers in this range is approximately $245/bhp.......
So, I would say a new unit of this size would cost (450)(245)= $101,250 (plus or minus 15%)
You can easily add 50% to this cost with special low NOX burners/stacks/and CEMS equipment.
You should be able to find a used boiler for about 60% of this cost....
See: www.wabashpower.com/500hp.html
(many other used equipment vendors on the internet....)
Watertube boilers cost more and last longer..
Just my thoughts and opinions....
