Linking of Post

(OP)
Hi All

I have developed two post (Turning and milling)

How to link the post.

Please can anyone explain me.

Thanks in advance.

RE: Linking of Post

Are you using Post Builder ?

First choose which post, Milling ot Turning will be the "master"

In that post use the linked post option to select the other post. It will prompt you for the word to call that post.  For example on the mill post set the word to MILL and on the lathe post set the word to TURN.

Then in NX on the Methods add the Head UDE.  When you want milling enter MILL and on the lathe methods set the head wourd to TURN.  This will call the lathe post for turning operations and the milling post for milling operations.  You can also use Programs to add the UDE to.

Hope this helps.  There are a lot of threads on this topics on the UG BBS:

Hi

I am using Postbuilder.

What is UG BBS ?

RE: Linking of Post

The UGS Website www.ugs.com has a Bullitin Board System for communicating with other users and UGS developers.  You need a web key login.  See your systems admin.  It does not cost anything to access. You are already paying for it with you software maintance.
