JOB SAFETY ANALYSIS (JSA)

JOB SAFETY ANALYSIS (JSA)

JOB SAFETY ANALYSIS (JSA)

(OP)
WOULD ANYONE HAVE COPIES OF JSA'S COMPLETED ON MAINTENANCE PERSONEL INVOLVED IN REPAIRS OF HYDRAULIC LINES OF PRODUCTION MACHINERY; ELECTRICAL REPAIRS AND REPLACEMENT OF SUCH COMPONENT AS C.B.'s, FUSES, PANEL BREAKERS ON 460 VOLTS CABINETS; MACHINERY RIGGING WHEN INSTALLING NEW PRODUCTION LINES AND REARRANGING EXISTING ONES; DISPOSAL OF CLEANING SOLVENTS AND MANY OTHER ACTIVITIES FOUND IN ELECTRONIC MANUFACTURING PLANTS.
I DONT LIKE REINVENTING THE WHEEL IF I CAN HELP IT.  MAY THERE IS A WEB SITE WITH GENERIC JSA'S AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC THAT SOMEONE WOULD BE AWARE OF.

RE: JOB SAFETY ANALYSIS (JSA)

There would be so much to change that it would only be a waste of time.

Do your JSA's in place with the people who will be carrying out the work, with particular site / location risks that they will be facing.

I agree mmenarry espacially w/ maintenance personel. Thanks dbaird, it appears to be an excellent document; it'll take me little time to read thru it.

RE: JOB SAFETY ANALYSIS (JSA)

I work at an electric utility that has transmission, generation and distribution and just completed having functional job analyzes done for the lineman, electrician, spare operator/utility, hydro mechanic and operator.  The jobs for analyzed to develop testing requirements for new hires and employees returning to work after an injury.
The analysis was done by a registered occupational therapist and cost less than $1000 each.
I think you are better off biting the bullet and getting it done locally and specific to the jobs at your facility.  We used the place where our employees would go for rehab after an injury.
