OHL Conductor Data

OHL Conductor Data

OHL Conductor Data

(OP)
Hi all,

I am looking for data on ACSR overhead line conductor, type Dinosaur.

Specifically the strand numbers and overall cross-section, from which I can calculate R1, X1, R0, X0 from tables) alternatively the impedance values per km/m directly.

Thanks.

ARP

RE: OHL Conductor Data

Perks,
Is Dinosaur the code word for this conductor?  ACSR code words are normally birds.  I did not see it in the Southwire overhead conductor manual.

RE: OHL Conductor Data

Chapter 5 of the Areva PRAG gives impedance information on all the various DIN/BS/ASTM overhead line conductors.

Can't see a Dinosaur, though.
Maybe it's an extinct conductor size...
Ho ho ho!

Marmite

RE: OHL Conductor Data

Perks Southwires site has lots of conductor data.  It's in their catalog.  They have aa pretty good overhead conductor manual for which they want $25.  If you know your local drummer well they can be had for free.
If you have old catalogs around the office go through them before they get thrown out.  I know of people who threw out Rome Cable catalogs just because they went out of business.  The last couple of chapters in the Rome catalog were worth saving.
