Hi Can anyone tell me how to edit an exsisting relative view of a weldment.  I created a relative view of a weldment so that I could show only a few cut-list items in one view to make it clearer, I have changed the part slightly and there are now dangling dimensions in the drawing.  How can I edit the view to add the changed items to the relative view??????

RE: edit relative views

You should be able to delete the dangling dimensions and add new ones, just like any other type of view.

Are the changed items not appearing in the relative view?

cheers

hi corblimeylimey thanks for your reply

yeh I can delete and add new dims, but the changed/new weldment items are not there, this is because when you create a 'Relative View' it opens the part and you choose two orthongonal faces and which (weldment) items to show in that view.  If you then delete and/or change weldment items in that part, the view (in the drawing) doesn't update.  Therefore I need to now edit the 'Relative View' to include the new/changed weldment items, but I can't find how you do this anywere.

thanks

RE: edit relative views

In future, create a config which hides the members you do not want to see in the Relative View, then create the Relative View from that config.

cheers
